Status: Full-Time             Compensation:  $50,000-$53,000/Year + Excellent Benefits

 

Specific Responsibilities:  Accountable to Division Director.  Responsible for the development and maintenance of quality youth services, including overall supervision of the contracted components.  Must participate in Center Development Team (CDT); develop resources that are in line with community needs; and maintain and evaluate quality services that are in contract compliance with funding sources. Expected to supervisor 5 to 8 direct line staff and may carry a minimum caseload.

 

Duties: Program Manager ensures that:

1.Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of program(s) that adhere to and uphold the rigorous standards of SDYS as mandated by its mission, purpose, guiding principles and standards of quality. 

2.Provide personnel management to include the hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of core staff, interns and volunteers.

3.Coordinate in-service trainings and component meetings for the purpose of training/supervising staff and facilitating communication.

4.Participate in the development of policies and procedures pertaining to personnel.  Work with Division Director and SDYS toward the development, management and coordination of component staff and ensure that the component has adequate staffing to provide delivery of services in compliance with contracts.

5.Maintain quality volunteer program in conjunction with Volunteer Services.

6.Liaison with community referral and funding sources to enhance and maintain relationships.  Expand community linkages for referral and advocacy.

7.Coordinate and maintain statistical systems for funding sources, contract compliance.  Provide necessary reports and statistics to funding sources and monitor quality assurance of services via case file review procedures.

8.Attend and assist in facilitation of weekly staff supervision meetings and participate in appropriate agency-wide committees.

9.Maintain confidentiality and privacy standards of service-partner protected health information and other applicable information and material in accordance to agency and center policies, and applicable regulations and laws including HIPAA.

10.Responsible for service coordination including scheduling, curriculum development, staffing and evaluation.

11.Develop and monitor comprehensive service system including intake, screening, assignment and follow-up.

12.Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community groups, and community centers.

13.Assist Division Director with ensuring standards of quality to include service partner confidentiality, program philosophy, and SDYS guiding principles.

14.Provide direct services (i.e. group facilitation, tutoring, case management, etc.) as needed to meet contract objectives.

15.Participate in grant development.

16.With Assistance from the Division Director, monitor budget and comply with fiscal policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications:

•Demonstrated systems-thinking with three years experience in middle management in residential services. 

•Fluency in American Sign Language required.

•Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology. 

•Demonstrated experience in staff development, program and community planning, and contract and fiscal management. 

•Must have knowledge of and competency in deaf culture.

•Ability to read and write in English is required.

•Experience in counseling youth and families providing assessment, crisis intervention and education.

•experience with youth and designing youth leadership systems, preferably in residential settings.

•Demonstrated leadership ability, ability to function effectively in stressful situations, sensitivity to direct service perspectives,

  tolerance of differences, creativity, and sense of humor. 

•Willing and able to meet background clearances. 

•Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
